Due to increasingly strict limits on noise pollution and exhaust emis­sions, the re­qui­re­ments placed on the development of ex­haust systems is becoming more and more complex. This in turn increases the requirements for competent pro­ject ma­na­ge­ment and experienced project par­ti­ci­pants.

Engines that have been manufactured in line with the current emis­sion standards often come with exhaust after-treatment com­po­nents ex-works; however, these components tend to be large and difficult to position in today’s engine com­part­ments, which are be­coming increasingly compact. The challenge becomes even greater when you consider the exhaust pipe design as well as any required si­­len­­cer systems or additional emission con­trol components such as particulate fil­ters.
